About Kevin P Wood

Kevin P Wood

Kevin P. Wood is co-founder and a Partner of Wood & Associates Wealth Management, with their friendly office based in the beautiful and historic city of Chester.

Having entered the profession in 1984, and due to living and working in the UK and Isle of Man, Kevin has amassed vast experience in both onshore and offshore financial planning, and uses this experience to help his clients in a friendly and empathetic way.

Career highlights to date include Area Sales Manager (Offshore) for Lloyds Bank Insurance Services in the Isle of Man and owning and operating a successful independent advisory practice before becoming a Partner Practice of St. James's Place.

Kevin has previously enjoyed his role as President of a local Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) branch before representing his industry colleagues throughout Liverpool, Chester, North Wales and the Isle of Man on the CII’s influential Regional Council. Kevin has also been elected (and re-elected) to a local authority role and enjoys committee and charity work – especially, as he says, when the committee really are committed…

Most of Kevin’s day is focused on the “at retirement” market.

Those individuals who suddenly realise that there aren’t that many paydays left before retirement beckons and who suddenly become awakened to the need to seriously engage with their retirement planning for the first time, but don’t really know where to begin.

In addition, Kevin enjoys working on intergenerational planning and assisting with general succession and estate planning for both private and corporate clients.

Kevin says the fact that his team are specialists in their own areas really helps to maintain the business which is vital for any successful Practice. He believes the Cashflow modelling service that is offered, is a definite ‘must have’ for any serious investor or potential retiree.

In his spare time, Kevin enjoys spending quality time with family and friends and has a keen interest in reading, cruise travel (where he likes to maintain his Spanish) - playing pool/snooker, riding anything on two wheels and mainly threatening to finally embark on his PhD on political history with Chester University.

The Partner Practice is an Appointed Representative of and represents only St. James's Place Wealth Management plc (which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority) for the purpose of advising solely on the Group’s wealth management products and services, more details of which are set out on the Group’s website www.sjp.co.uk/products. The ‘St. James's Place Partnership’ and the titles ‘Partner’ and ‘Partner Practice’ are marketing terms used to describe St. James's Place representatives.
